This memorandum was sent out to all ACL Regular Members this week — whether you have already voted or not…we are doing a “final sweep”
BEGIN:
MEMORANDUM TO: ALL REGULAR MEMBERS, ASSOCIATED CALIFORNIA LOGGERS
FROM: ERIC CARLESON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
DATE: JANUARY, 2023
RE: “NEW ACL BY-LAWS – WE NEED MORE VOTES PLEASE:
The Board of Directors of Associated California Loggers is required to get a majority of its membership to vote on proposed new By-Laws, and then to get a majority of those votes in the “Aye” column.
In December of 2022 and January of 2023, ACL:
ONE: Mailed the following package to all voting regular members:
Cover Letter on Need for Votes and Deadlines
Copy of proposed new by-laws
Ballot to vote on new by-laws (“Aye” or “No”—we seek “Aye.”)
Self-addressed stamped envelope
TWO: Handed out, at the 2023 Annual Meeting in Reno, to all voting regular members:
Ballot to vote on new by-laws (“Aye” or “No” – we seek “Aye.”)
We have a deadline of close of business(5:00 pm) on Wednesday, February 15 to receive all ballots at the ACL office.
We are still short of our goal of ballots to be received. Due to changes in daily mail received, we will state this approximate number of ballots still needed to be received: 60 ballots.
This memorandum accompanies the following:
Cover letter(drafted by outside counsel) on Need for Votes, and Deadlines
Ballot to vote on new by-laws (“Aye” or “No” – we seek “Aye.”)
Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope
END:
Our counsel tells us that you cannot vote by e-mail. You will need to MAIL the ballot to the ACL Office at:
555 Capitol Mall
Suite 460
Sacramento, CA 95914
You will receive a NEW ACL ballot in the mail. But if you would like one sent to you right now, please contact ACL at 916-441-7940 or ecarleson@calog.com
Thank you very much for your consideration of this urgent, historic request for a vote in favor of your Association.
