ASSOCIATED CALIFORNIA LOGGERS INTRODUCES NEW “ACL TWITTER ACCOUNT”:
Associated California Loggers has decided to launch a Twitter account.
You can access the ACL Twitter page with this link.. https://twitter.com/CaLoggers
Here you will be able to view tweets made by ACL, Retweets of other tweets that ACL was either tagged in OR useful information within the tweet that can be viewed from our page as well (similar to sharing someone else’s post on facebook, you’re able to see who originally made the tweet).
Our twitter handle is @caloggers
Some of the first “tweets’ and “re-tweets” for the Twitter account come from other logging state associations and have to do with the nationwide effort to place loggers and log truckers on parity with agriculture and fishing in terms of federal assistance due to COVID-19 impacts.
The vehicle is “The Logger Relief Fund” — both a US Senate Bill and a US House of Representatives Bill have been introduced — and the tweets and re-tweets are part of effort to “get ACL involved.”
The future of the ACL Twitter Account is closely tied to our members, and others, being interested in re-tweeting posts and “tagging” President Trump and members of Congress(for the Logger Relief Fund and other federal legislation) and , in the future, state legislators and Governor Newsom.
Additionally, general “tweets and re-tweets” can be used to help promote our industry and communicate with one another on any relevant topic.
ASSOCIATED CALIFORNIA LOGGERS “RE-INTRODUCES” YOU TO OUR COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST, KOLBIE JOHNSON, TO HELP YOU:
In introducing the new ACL Twitter account, we wish to “re-introduce you” to our Communications Specialist, Kolbie Johnson, who joined our staff back in April. There was an article about Kolbie in the ACL newsletter, but here is some background on Kolbie for social media distribution:
Kolbie Johnson is a graduate of California State University at Chico, with a degree in Journalism, an option in Public Relations, and a minor in Agriculture Business – all strong background for her contract with ACL. Kolbie graduated from Loyalton High School, and now lives in Bieber – she has grown up around logging families and is well known in the Sierra-Cascade logging communities.
Kolbie has worked and is working on such local projects as the Red Bluff Round-Up and the World Champion Barrel Racing Association. She has experience handling social media for these projects and with other clients.
The most active ACL project being run by Kolbie Johnson at this time is the popular “Associated California Loggers Facebook Page,” which is interactive with our membership and others.
Kolbie is always on the lookout for photos of your logging operations – the equipment, the trucks, the workers, and the families who make our profession special and interesting. Please post your photos to the Associated California Loggers Facebook page, and we will share them.
Kolbie now also oversees the ACL Twitter account.
Kolbie is also overseeing the management of the Associated California Loggers website, and will be available for special social media projects.
Kolbie Johnson has been brought on board via the “ACL Resource Availability Fund”(RAF), by which the Association has been able to hire several contract consultants in recent years. The RAF is supported by voluntary member donations.
