Evidently, CALFIRE is being inundated with applicants for the LTO. However, ACL has also learned that some applicants are missing the necessary “hours in the woods” that are required along with this LTO class and proof of $1 million in liability insurance. Anyone seeking to be an LTO should check with Robert Little or others at CALFIRE, as to whether or not they meet the required hours in the woods.
