A MESSAGE FROM DIANE DEALEY NEILL, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF
THE CALIFORNIA FORESTRY CHALLENGE:
BEGIN:
Hello Friends of the Forestry Challenge,
A lot of things have changed this year! Even though we won’t be able to conduct in-person events this fall, we have decided to conduct one statewide virtual Forestry Challenge event for the fall of 2020. More information about the 2020 Virtual Forestry Challenge is available on our website.
With a potential of 120 teams competing in 6 sessions throughout November and December, we are in need of volunteers, specifically presentation judges and foresters for Ask a Forester. If we are at capacity, we’ll need 5 Ask a Foresters and 15 presentation judges for each week’s session. All activities will be conducted via Zoom. If you are able to commit to a few hours from the comfort of your home or office interacting with these awesome students, please visit the website and follow the link to the volunteer registration form under the “2020 Virtual Event” tab at the top of the homepage. In appreciation of your dedication to the program, you will receive a fabulous event t-shirt in advance that you can wear during your Zoom session(s).
Thank you for your ongoing support!
Diane
