ANNUAL CONFERENCE
“Geaux” (Go) Logging!
LAFAYETTE • LOUISIANA
SEPTEMBER 17–19, 2025
Welcome to Lafayette, Louisiana!
We are thrilled to invite you to the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Loggers Council, where this year’s theme – “Geaux (Go) Logging!” – celebrates the energy, advocacy, and momentum driving our industry forward.
This special event is proudly hosted by the Louisiana Loggers Association, the Louisiana Logging Council, and the Southern Loggers Cooperative, in partnership with the American Loggers Council. Together, we’re honored to welcome you to the heart of Acadiana – Cajun Country – from September 17–19, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette. Nestled along the scenic Vermilion River, the hotel perfectly balances Louisiana’s laid-back charm and lively spirit, offering an on-site restaurant, a relaxing lounge, and an outdoor pool.
Lafayette is a vibrant and historic city known for its rich culture, incredible cuisine, and infectious music – the perfect backdrop for celebrating logging, leadership, and Louisiana hospitality.
Our program begins Wednesday afternoon with registration opening at 2:00 PM. That evening, we’ll kick off the event with a festive Welcome Reception, featuring hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live zydeco music, and opportunities to reconnect with friends and colleagues.
Thursday is devoted to professional enrichment and regional exploration. Attendees will take part in an in-depth industry tour, including a visit to an active logging operation, a RoyOMartin OSB production facility, and a U.S. Forest Service site in the Kisatchie National Forest. This immersive experience showcases Louisiana’s timber legacy and the innovative practices shaping its future. For our guests, we’re also offering two Ladies Day excursions: a serene garden and mansion tour at Jefferson Island, or an exciting swamp boat tour through the Atchafalaya Basin. The day wraps up with the President’s Welcome Reception, the always-popular Log A Load for Kids Auction, and a dinner buffet.
Friday focuses on business and celebration. The day begins with the Board of Directors and Full Membership meetings, followed by our Awards Luncheon, where we’ll recognize outstanding individuals and hear from our keynote speaker. That evening, we’ll gather for the President’s Farewell Reception and Banquet Dinner – a formal occasion to honor achievements, reflect on the year, and pass the gavel to new leadership. Please consult the registration brochure for complete event details and to reserve your place.
Whether you’re here for business insight, industry camaraderie, family-friendly fun, or genuine Southern hospitality, we’re delighted to have you join us. With its deep forestry roots and unwavering commitment to the logging profession, Louisiana is the ideal host for this year’s gathering.
We look forward to celebrating with you – let’s “Geaux” Logging!
