Mike Albrecht of California has retired as the President of the national American Loggers Council. Mike was originally elected to the “usual” Presidental term at the American Loggers Council — a one-year term — but circumstances came up and Mike agreed to serve for an additional year. Mike served for two years in total, split among 2023, 2024 and 2025.
A delegation of ACL officers and spouses travelled to Louisiana in September 2025 to see Mike “pass the gavel” to the new American Loggers Council President, David Cupp of Louisiana.
THE LINK ABOVE: Mike Albrecht wrote a final “As We See It” column for the 50 states of the American Loggers Council. The column is entitled, “We’ve Been Here Before.” We will publish this column in our next newsletter but we wanted to share the article with more people through our ListServ here.
Please click on the link at the top of this article to read Mike Albrecht’s final article written while President of the American Loggers Council.
PS. We can all expect future articles from Mike Albrecht — both for Associated California Loggers(Mike is Past President 2019-2020) and for the American Loggers Council. Mike remains a valuable and knowledgeable asset to both of our associations.
We thank the team of Mike Albrecht and his wife Vicki for their invaluable service to us all.
