Re: Announcement of new Joint Chief’s Projects
USDA has announced the selection of new “Joint Chief’s Projects” – list is below. (Various national forests in various states. )10 of the 14 seem to present at least a minor opportunity for timber management.
These are good deals – if your forest gets one. My concern with this program (much like CFLRP) is that units that compete for this support but aren’t selected can kind of fall off the radar – and have a ready-made excuse for why they cannot perform.
