Would you like to get free admission and parking for the 2016 California State Fair in Sacramento, while helping to promote your industry and meeting other resource professionals? Here is your chance:
The Forest Foundation (TFF) and ACL need your help to make the Forest Center at the State Fair an amazing educational experience for visitors young and old, as we have been doing since 1971.
Volunteers are provided free admission to the fair(at Cal Expo), a parking pass, and snacks and drinks during your shift. Volunteer shifts are 3 1/3 and 4 hours, so there is plenty of time left in the day to enjoy the fair. (PLEASE NOTE: Some groups like to “split” these shifts into two-hour shifts among themselves) . Duties are easy to perform, including passing out seedlings and playing out the participation game “What is made from trees?” with an open book answer guide, with visitors. Professional staff is available to answer questions of all visitors, or you can answer on your own.
The California State Fair runs Friday July 14 through Sunday, July 30
Shifts available are:
Monday through Thursday
11:30 am to 3:30 pm (early) and
3:15 pm to 7:15 pm (late)
