“KARE would like to extend a special invitation to you for a tour of working timberlands in Siskiyou County. Our fall tour will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017. The tour will showcase a variety of managed public and private forests, and will include a discussion of water, wildlife, air quality, and wildfire. The tour will be led by our highly qualified tour guides who have background in wildlife biology, forestry, and natural resource management in the public and private sector. The tour will also include viewing of an active forest thinning project as well as a mill tour of the Roseburg mill in Weed, CA – accompanied by a discussion of “jobs in the community.”
KARE provides transportation, lunch, and refreshments for tour attendees as well as a question and answer reception following the tour. This year, the tour will be held in South Siskiyou County.
If you are interested in attending the KARE fall tour, or if you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Executive Director, Emily Acord, at info@klamathalliance.org or by phone at 530-925-6142. “
