The link goes to: “Between the Branches,” a Tigercat publication offering a tour of logging stories and logging companies in both the United States and Canada (home of Tigercat.) This is the April 2023 issue.
All the articles are interesting but two in particular for ACL:
PAGE 18: “Wildfire Salvage Logging” about DL Stoy Logging in Quincy, owned by ACL Board Member Doug Stoy, and his company’s work on salvage on the Dixie Fire. Doug makes some very comprehensive and tough-minded points about what the wildfires up there in Greenville and other parts of Plumas County have done to that beautiful and productive area. Doug also makes good points about risks in the future unless changes in policy occur. This is also a good “company profile” article.
PAGE 31: “Thriving in El Dorado” about J & R Logging in Mount Aukum, owned by ACL Immediate Past President Robert D’Agostini. This article is also a good “company profile” with a good history of the D’Agostini family leading up to Robert’s current leadership.
We recommend that you read these articles, more proof that ACL companies and their owners are leaders in the industry acknowledged nationwide – and in Canada — and representing all of us very well on such issues as wildfire, business development, and contributing to the economy.
