PLEASE NOTE: While some of the counties we have selected above are “definitely” timber counties in terms of logging work being performed there (Humboldt, Lassen, Nevada, Plumas as examples), it looks like projects in somewhat more urban counties such as Marin, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Santa Barbara counties are being funded for things like “fuel breaks” and “fuels reduction,” so we thought we would mark them as well. You may wish to investigate the work generated from any and all of these projects, as well as others on the list.
PLEASE NOTE: We can’t be sure, on first reading, if the size of some of these projects is enough such that loggers will want to do the work. There is a fair amount of brushing and chipping work. However, there are some good shaded fuel break jobs on some projects, it looks like those projects will be pretty good work. You will want to check things out based on your expertise, we are sure.
