(Our ACL Resource Availability Fund Consultants, Mark Bosetti and John Quidachay, have been reviewing the G-Z IRSC Pre-solicitation Documents. We offer this “joint recommendation” to you from our two consultant):
From John Quidachay:
. I am reviewing the pre-solicitation documents. They are comprehensive and detailed in a manner that can potentially scare interested bidders. I am curious what you think Mark.
From Mark Bosetti:
I think including what has traditionally been completed by the USFS prior to advertisement( cruise, botany, flagging control areas, etc) make Sthis type of solicitation very daunting for most contractors. I believe the timelines for completion the FS has outlined will be difficult to achieve. But any member that has completed an IRSC should be familiar with the type of treatment to expect from the CO and sale admin team during the course of the contract ups and downs. My message to prospective bidders: be very diligent with your evaluation of all the pre-solicitation material, attend the pre-solicitation meeting armed with questions, if you have a question ask it, and if the answer isn’t completely clear ask again, and if that answer doesn’t sit well ask the FS to put their response in writing and then forward it John or Mark (to Associated California Loggers.)
ACTION SUGGESTED:
Forward any USFS responses — for ACL Consultant Review — to qfactorinnercite.com or to ecarleson@calog.com.
