Subject: NFF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Graveyard Project
To Prospective Bidders,
The National Forest Foundation (NFF), in partnership with the Yuba River Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest, would like to bring your attention to the attached Request for Proposals and supporting project material for conifer thinning, hazardous fuels reduction, material processing and transportation, road reconstruction, mortality tree treatments, and borate stump treatments on the Graveyard Project. The Graveyard Project extends east from the community of Camptonville up FS RD 293 and continues south from Graveyard Hill Summit to Pliocene Ridge in Sierra County. The project is designed to reduce over-stocked forests around the rural communities along the North Yuba River corridor, improve forest health and resilience, and generate enhanced stream flow in the Yuba Watershed.
Contractor services on the Graveyard Project may begin as soon as June 2024. Project implementation is scheduled to be completed by December 2027.
For interested parties, a project field tour is scheduled for Monday, May 13th, 2024, at 10:00am. The meeting location is the Yuba River Ranger District Office located at 15924 CA-49, Camptonville, CA 95922. If contractors cannot attend the scheduled field visit, they are highly encouraged to utilize the attached information and examine the project area to ensure their own estimates.
